EFT and Wellness

Emotional Freedom Technique also known as Tapping is an exciting simple and powerful therapeutic tool to improve your well-being and overall wellness.  It effectively forms the bridge between talk therapies and body therapies.

acupuncture needles crossed outEFT is often described as acupuncture without needles and produces lasting results quite quickly.  Acupuncture is based on the Chinese meridian energy system, and so is EFT. The meridian energy system is a system of lines of energy that run through the body.  It can be likened to the electrical circuits that run through your home.  If one of these circuits becomes damaged in any way then the electricity is not going to flow – it becomes blocked.  Similarly, if any of your meridian lines become blocked then your body’s natural energy system becomes blocked also, causing dis-ease in your body.

As a result, this dis-ease can result in any one of a number of ailments.

During each EFT session you will learn how to use this technique at home to support your sessions and ultimately learn to use it as a lifelong tool to use as and when you feel it is appropriate along your journey of life.

Developed by Gary Craig during the 1990´s EFT is producing remarkable results worldwide.

EFT uses the tips of the fingers to lightly tap various spots located on the face and body.  These tapping points or spots are meridian points and by tapping gently on these, it allows the body´s physical energy system to engage with the mind and helps achieve alignment between the two; thus working with our natural mind-body connection.

EFT is evidence supported to be effective in treating many things that keep us from having a happier, healthier life such as; ongoing stress, low self-esteem, fears and phobias, depression, chronic worry, insomnia, back pain, anxiety, trauma, confidence issues, weight loss, weight management, unhealthy habits, limited thinking and beliefs, addictive behaviours, childhood issues, physical tension, pain and much, much more.

Properly applied by a trained EFT practitioner many clients achieve either noticeable improvement or complete cessation of their problem.  Many people, including professionals like doctors, believe that it is the missing piece in the health and wellness puzzle!

The use of EFT however, is not confined to improving health and wellness.  It is also effective in the area of sport.  Take golf for example: golf (as with many sports) is a game of the mind – get your mind right and finely tuned and your game becomes something else.  You will be slicing less, chipping well and putting longer putts than you previously thought possible!

EFT can help you to improve your game by enabling you to put aside deep rooted beliefs and negative emotions that haunt you and affect your game. What if you mis-hit a shot on the first tee, does it affect your entire game? Or, if you come to a hole that you hit a bad shot on a week ago, is that all you can think about – that bad shot last week?  Self-limiting beliefs are what sabotage most sportsmen and sportswomen.  These limiting beliefs can affect not only your game of golf but also your overall sense of well-being and wellness.

I believe that EFT is such an effective tool, that everyone would benefit from trying it, as it is extremely adaptable.  It requires no machinery or appliance of any kind, it is drug-free and can often work were traditional methods fail.

Whether you use it for your well-being and wellness to improve your health; or to improve your game of golf, like most things, the only way to find out if EFT works for you is to try it!

EFT offers a new level of health and happiness without drugs, needles or negative side effects.
